Dusty Miller in Uxbridge

Katie Goodall/The Uxbridge Gazette/Thursday 9th September 2007

Gig

ROCK fans attended a free performance of band Dusty Miller at The Crown and Treaty pub in Oxford Road, Uxbridge on August, 9.

Crowds arrived from 7pm and rocked till the early hours screaming along to the band’s niche sound of “bluesy alternative rock.”

The quartet formed early in 2004 and regularly perform at local gigs with other up-and-coming young bands from around Hillingdon.

Lead singer Maria Papacosta, 22, sang Runway, and a cover of Jimmy Hendrix classic Purple Haze. She said: “We like to get involved in local gigs to support local music.”
